PROJECT VALUE

US$500 MILLION

The redevelopment of Terminal 2 at Cairo International Airport represented a major modernisation and capacity-expansion programme at one of the region’s most important aviation gateways. The project significantly upgraded the existing terminal while increasing its capacity to approximately 7.5 million passengers annually.

The programme included the renovation of existing facilities, construction of a new departure hall and airside pier, and extensive improvements to airside and landside infrastructure. The development was designed to enhance passenger handling, operational efficiency and the overall quality of the airport environment.

Project management responsibilities extended beyond general programme oversight to include programme controls, schedule-risk analysis, value analysis and technical review, supporting the coordinated delivery of a complex aviation project within the operational environment of Cairo International Airport.
